The LTC actively promotes state and national training initiatives and also assists in the implementation of the National Transport and Logistics Training Package and traineeships.
The LTC distributes information to industry, Government departments and agencies and training providers through its comprehensive newsletter and website as well as through workshops and information sessions. The LTC also responds to individual requests for information and offers a consultancy service to assist industry to more effectively develop the skills of its workforce.

Our Mission
To be the key resource for strategic analysis and advice on vocational education and training in the Transport and Logistics industry and the driving force in introducing effective long-term training solutions to industry.
Our Activities
The Logistics Training Council provides independent information to industry, training providers and Government on training and skills recognition arrangements. The LTC actively promotes training initiatives under the National Training Framework and Australian Recognition Framework.
The LTC also assists in the implementation of the National Transport & Distribution Training Package and the New Apprenticeships system. Information is disseminated to industry, Government departments and agencies, and training providers through the LTC’s Newsletter and Website, workshops, and information sessions. We also respond to individual requests for information and offer a consultancy service.
Our Structure
The LTC has nine divisions, representing the industry sectors in the transport and logistics industry. These are Aviation, Warehousing, Maritime, Rail Transport, Road Transport, Postal, Logistics, Port/Stevedoring and Wholesaling. Each division is managed by a Divisional Committee, elected from the LTC's membership, which provides operational direction to the LTC's activities.
The Chair, Deputy Chair and Divisional Committees constitute the LTC's Board of Management (BoM). The BoM provides strategic direction to the LTC.
